lol... I was a bit young for them, it was a raleigh Grifter, which was sort of bigger than a bmx and had three gears, blue, yellow and red..lol....and a slip gear for free wheeling..lol

well it was very very heavy indeed.. we used to build ramps and line people up in a line to see how many we could jump...heheh....
on a down note the slip gear sometimes made me fall onto the cross bar...yowwwwwww.. I was worried about my family allowance even then...heheh-

Oooo - coloured gears. I remember them too.
But my mum thought Grifters (and Drifters for that matter) were for "toughs" so I ended up with a Dawes Lightning. WHich was nice, hand-painted, and expensive, but ultimately might as well have been a Pink Shopper for all the kudos it gave me down the bike sheds-

i got a pair of 'king kong feet' slippers - nice one
honestly the worst was 2 tangerines a choc and a 50p in my friends old sock tied with a bit of tinsel
i suppose its the thought that counts - but she aint skint shes off to cuba today for 2 weeks - grrrr
and i bought her some nice toiletries.....ahh-

Well I got the 6 inch high dalek, I since learned that theres a foot tall one out there somewhere, but its practically impossible to get hold of, so I`m now suffering from Dalek envy. Someone out there has a bigger one than mine and its driving me mad. I suppose its a man thing, my neighbours pampas grass is half an inch taller than mine, so naturally I have pampas grass envy, and I`m planning devious schemes to poison it. I have the worrying feeling that I`m going to be explaining all this to a psychiatrist in a decade or so. Sigmund Freud would have had a field day with me around.

BEST CHRISTMAS PRESSIE OF ALL TIME: it wasnt one as such, but i think it was either 86 or 87 the height of the transformers blitz. all the relatives instead of buying me individual pressies gave mum the money and she added her and dads contribution and went and brought me at least 2 dozen transformers.
IT WAS BLOODY BRILLIANT OPENING THAT LOT ON XMAS DAY!!!

I......I`m so excited I can barely type....I GOT THE 12 INCH DALEK!!!! I GOT THE 12 INCH DALEK!! It cost 40 quid but its awesome! I`m in geek heaven!
Then today, I learned theres a 14 inch black Dalek out there...
