Shopping Online With Waitrose

Well I promised myself this year to be better organised, spend more time with my family, have more time for myself and to help me keep those promises I've signed up for Waitrose groceries to be delivered straight to my door! How fantastic that you can plan what you need and want, all from the comfort of your own home.
So I got out my recipe books and ordered just what I needed and it's all turning up tomorrow...so I'll let you know if it makes a difference to my life!

Even better they have an offer on at the mo to save £15 on your first shop and a £5 voucher for anyone you recommend

I get all my stuff from Sainsburys - they're really good. If they're one second late you get a tenner heh heh.

And yes, I just sit about in my knickers ordering my food......HA HA HA!!

      But if anyone was to mention - say - Netto, Aldi, or Lidl, that would be pretty rubbish, wouldn't it?

I dunno, you women take away all the fun out of doing the food shop. Car parking, the wrestle with the trolley, dodgems, screaming kids around you, stalking, being stalked, pickpocketed, queuing - you get to miss all this enrichment in your lives! Mind you I'd probably do the same if I was online and had a computer! bs

Worse, when they're a bit older, they wear monkey boots, take packed trolleys through the 10 items or less checkout, pay with their labriously counted change, and wee themselves next to the vegetables (yes - the flamin' vegetables)

    Monkey boots are those brown ankle-length furry boots with zips up the front that old women wear.

Hi Jess,

Grocery shopping is not proper shopping, proper shopping is bags of clothes hanging from my arms not bags of groceries so I would be okay with grocery shopping online but you can't squeeze the fruit and vegetables, so I don't know. But definitely couldn't clothes shop online.

When you shop online, you're probably less likely to buy random things JUST because they are in front of you.. like in the supermarket itself. Online shopping probably means you'll just select what you actually need, rather than buying something random like chopped carrot sticks with a dip.. just because it looks good!

Not that there's anything wrong with chopped carrot sticks with a dip...

  Hi Simon, yes I'm hoping for economies! I really don't like throwing things away that were impulse buys...carrots and dip sound cool! I'm also hoping to enjoy the cooking...cos I really love cooking yet I never seem to have everything I need to follow recipes...but not anymore...I think I am loving it already and it's not arrived yet!
