It's Pieday!!

Last night my parent's came for tea...fortunately the Waitrose delivery man was early so I was all organised!! I did lemony honey chicken, marinated peppers, prawns, avocado and grapes....followed by fresh blueberries,blackberries,strawberries with a large helping of fat free organic raspberry yoghurt...delicious!!

After they left I watched a film with ickle man on Sky it was cool some strut street dancing.

Today I am off to Curshaws in Sandbach for lunch with Commander Amanda who is still reeling from her encounter with Rio Ferdinand yesterday...bless

And we troughed on soup!! haha

Off out with Yvonne tonight in Sandbach!

So what Pies are they Jess, I haven't cooked any pies in ages. I know it sounds gross but seaweed pie is nice. Yes i going to cook that this evening.

        LOL!!! Theyve made me a pie to height ratio chart here and bunged it up on the department wall to go along with the cardboard box speed camera that they made me last autumn :-)

        no they dont, infact it just gets worse and worse, or funnier and funnier whichever way you care to look at it :-)
        
        ahhh... this will be a friday afternoon then, and as long as the account execs car stays by my window the less chance there is of a set of proofs coming back covered in client amends this afternoon :-)

Is this sad or what?
Anyone can write poems about pies.
Even recently James Blunt sang about one in - 'Good Pie My Lover'

After a pie I feel alive

My, my, my...where is my pie.
When I look at you straight in the eyes,
I only seem to think of my pie.

For the pie lovers they set up square pie.
With love they hand make their pies.
They chop, mix and bake with a smile day after day.
They cook the pastry perfectly without boiling inside.

But I always thought the words were -
'Pie pie pastry pastry good pie pastry pastry pie pie'?

And who can remember Vera Lynn taunting the Nazis and their one-dimensional pie coverings. It's a well known fact that they could never get the hang of puff pastry -

'Good Pieeee, Good pieeee, wipe a tear, pastry dear from your eyeeee!'

I have often wondered if the lyrics in the much of our contemporary music were inspired by the PIE?

I'm sure you'll find pie references in most songs - you just have to know where to look! bs

Rio,eh...last year I was out in Cardiff with the lads, we got into the V.I.P area in a bar called Life...& low & behold who was chillin in there...Rio Ferdinand with Robert Earnshaw(W, Brom)...that Rio aint arrf tall in the flesh!
