Well I've never had the pleasure of celebrating with a Scot on Burns night...but apparently this is what they do if you didn't know? Well I didn't!! It comes as no surprise then... that the Scots celebrate the life of a man whose poetry continues to inspire and amuse....And hey Auld Lang Syne...he gave us that we should all celebrate...hehe any excuse!! My family name Macaulay has Scottish roots, we even have our own tartan haha and even though non of us are Scottish my Grandma lived in Glasgow for a lot of my childhood and I spent many many October holiday's on the Island of Mull and Iona....oh and my cousin and his wife are both on Scottish TV every day so I guess I have one or two links? haha anyway I might make an effort and try making vegetarian haggis tonight...I don't much fancy the real McCoy as it involves lungs and stuff that doesn't sound too appetizing.
The Burns Supper is an institution of Scottish life, a night to celebrate the life and genius of the national Bard Robbie Burns. Suppers can be everything from an informal gathering of friends to a huge, formal dinner full of pomp and circumstance. This running order covers all the key elements.
The running order for a traditional Burns Supper
Piping in the guests
A big-time Burns Night calls for a piper to welcome guests. If you haven't got a bagpipe or piper hoho, some traditional music will do nicely. For more formal events, the audience should stand to welcome arriving guests: the piper plays until the High Table is ready to be seated, at which point a round of applause is due.
Chairman's welcome
The Chairman warmly welcomes the assembled guests.
The Selkirk Grace
A short but important prayer to usher in the meal with a reading of The Selkirk Grace.
Also known as 'Burns's Grace at Kirkcudbright.' Although the text is often printed in English, it is usually recited in Scots.
Piping in the Haggis
Guests should normally stand to welcome the dinner's star attraction, which should be delivered on a silver platter by a procession consisting of the chef, the piper and the person who will address the Haggis. A whisky-bearer should also arrive to ensure the toasts are well lubricated.
During the procession, guests clap in time to the music until the Haggis reaches its destination at the table. The music stops and everyone is seated in anticipation of the address "To a Haggis".
Address to the Haggis
The honoured reader now seizes their moment of glory by offering a fluent and entertaining rendition of "To a Haggis". The reader should have their knife poised at the ready. On cue ("His knife see Rustic-labour dight"), they cut the casing along its length, making sure to spill out some of the tasty gore within ("trenching its gushing entrails").
This bit made me chuckle...Warning: it is wise to have a small cut made in the haggis skin before it is piped in. Instances are recorded of top table guests being scalded by flying pieces of haggis when enthusiastic reciters omitted this precaution!
The recital ends with the reader raising the Haggis in triumph during the final line ("Gie her a Haggis!"), which the audience greets with rapturous applause.
Toast to the Haggis
Prompted by the speaker, the audience now joins in the toast to the Haggis. Raise a glass and shout: "The Haggis!" Then it's time to serve the main course with its traditional companions, neeps and tatties. (neeps are turnips and tatties are potatoes both are mashed) In larger events, the piper leads a procession carrying the opened Haggis out to the kitchen for serving; audience members should clap as the procession departs.
The meal
Dinner is served with some suitable background music. The sumptuous Bill o' Fare includes traditional cock-a-leekie soup before the main course ("Haggis wi' bashit neeps an' champit tatties"), followed by a sweet course of "clootie dumplin" (a pudding prepared in a linen cloth or cloot) or "Typsy Laird" (a Scottish sherry trifle).
Afterwards comes the cheese board, served with bannocks (traditional oat-cakes) and tea/coffee/malt whisky.
Variations do exist: beef lovers can serve the haggis, neeps and tatties as a starter with roast beef or steak pie as the main dish. Vegetarians can of course choose vegetarian haggis.
The drink
Liberal lashings of wine or ale should be served with dinner and it's often customary to douse the Haggis with a "wee splash of whisky sauce", which, with true Scottish understatement, is whisky neat.
After the meal, it's time for connoisseurs to compare notes on the wonderful selection of malts served by the generous host.
The first entertainment
The nervous first entertainer follows immediately after the meal. Often it will be a singer or musician performing Burns songs such as "My Luve is Like a Red Red Rose", "Rantin', Rovin' Robin", "John Anderson, my jo" or "Ae Fond Kiss, and Then We Sever". Alternatively it could be a moving recital of a Burns poem, with perennial preference for "Tam O'Shanter", "Holy Willie's Prayer", "To a Louse", "Address to the Unco Guid" or "For a' that and a' that".
The Immortal Memory
The keynote speaker takes the stage to deliver a spell-binding oratory on the life of Robert Burns. His literary genius, his politics, his highs and lows, his human frailty and - most importantly - his nationalism are the enduring themes. The speech must bridge the dangerous chasm between serious intent and sparkling wit, painting a colourful picture of Scotland's beloved Bard.
The speaker concludes with a heart-felt toast: "To the Immortal Memory of Robert Burns!"
The second entertainment
More celebration of Burns' work, preferably a poem or song to complement the earlier entertainment.
Yes loving this bit....The toast to the Lassies
The humorous highlight of any Burns Night comes in this toast, which is designed to praise the role of women in the world today. This should be done by selective quotation from Burns's works and should crescendo towards a positive note.
The toast concludes: "To the Lassies!"
The third entertainment
Further indulgence in the works of the great man.
The reply to the toast to the Lassies
In mixed proceedings, a woman has the right of reply to the men's toast. Thanking the toast-master for his kind words is a necessary - and some times strained - formality, but the response offers the chance to upstage the men, again through cunning use of examples from Burns's life and works.
Final entertainment
As the last drops of malt are drained, a final entertainer bravely faces the (usually restless) audience.
Vote of thanks
The host now climbs to his potentially unsteady feet to thank everyone who has contributed to a wonderful evening… and to suggest that taxis will arrive shortly.
Auld Lang Syne
The chairman closes the proceedings by inviting guests to stand and belt out a rousing rendition of the famous tune. The company joins hands and sings as one, having made sure to brush up on those difficult later lines.

Tonight we had Curry and it was sort of cheating cos I just fried the chicken and stirred in the fresh waitrose curry sauce with a bit of banana!! haha Cooked some rice and Nan bread and that was that followed by home made meringue, mango, rasberries and cream...sort of using up there....not that keen on Mango however....I love Mango chutney and they are very good for you...power fruit no less!! haha Apparently one Mango is almost a whole daily dose of Vitamin C! Also the antioxidant helps prevent arthritis and boosts wound healing and your immune system. Mangoes also boast more that 8,000 IU of vitamin A!
Watched Mr Destiny on Sky...lesson for us all there..quite a good film!

This morning I have been making my way through a mound of fruit I've had an apple, a bowl of cherries, a pomegranate drink and I was just about to tuck into a big box of strawberries and it says on the packet that......delicious on their own or serve with sugar, cream, fromage frais or A DASH OF BLACK PEPPER? REALLY? RIGHT I'M OFF TO TRY IT......BACK IN A BIT TO GIVE THE VERDICT!!
I didn't enjoy strawberries with black pepper! It was ok but not the best!

This morning I have been drinking Pomegranate Juice! It really was quite refreshing and delicious...very much like rasberry juice
Anyway the reason I'm drinking it is because pomegranate juice is one of nature's most powerful antioxidants with more power than green tea, blueberry juice, cranberry juice and red wine!! So hopefully it will contribute to my body's well-being! Very nice anyway!!

Last night watched Return of the Mummy which I thoroughly enjoyed!

Well people...how to have an eventful weekend without trying? lol
Friday night went out with eight ladies some of whom I'd not seen in ages and ages we went to the Holly Bush we always jokingly call it the Hairy Bush. The food was fantastic but later on I thought I really shouldn't have had soo much fish! We started with a complimentary Smoked salmon parcel filled with cream cheese. For a starter I had Lobster & Salmon terrine followed by a main course of Scallops and tagliatelle. Fantastic Food there can't rave about it enough!! Everyone else around me seemed to be having pheasant except Commander who is vegetarian! I was too full for a sweet as I was full up on orange J2O's...Drove home and collapsed into bed very tired.
During the course of the evening I was challenged to a game of scrabble and at 2am by Don after being chased up for this game of scrabble I went! Laff what a mad thing to do play scabble at that time but hey never a dull moment! So after 3hrs of a scrabble match which I then lost I finally went to bed again!
In the morning I was concerned about my car as the oil light was on and as you remember I put 5lts in not two weeks ago when my car broke down in the car wash. I thought I must have a leak! So there I go... I tootle off to the petrol station and buy another 5lts of oil pour it in....ouch Ł30...Now this is the point where I wish I hadn't poured in soo much...cos as I left the petrol station my car wiped out the whole of the area in thick white smoke!! I came to a halt at some traffic lights as I had great concern that maybe my car was on fire or something!! haha
My friend Don then told me to pull it round the corner as it wasn't the best place to stop! I took it round the corner and stopped....and there it died it wouldn't start! haha (I can laugh now). Fortunately my friend Don's neighbour was a mechanic so we managed to sort a man to recover it and to tell us that the problem was too much oil and he would need to drain 2lts off and burn off the other 2lts that were now in my exhaust...! haha The rest of the day was spent with Don in Violin shops, lighting shops, dancing, learning to dirty dance, learning to play pool..wow Wickes, music shops whilst hanging about waiting for all the oil to be burnt off.
If you could have seen the smoke coming from the car at the garage you would have been in stitches it was like a steam train! I wished I'd taken photo's...
When I finally recovered my car it cost me Ł50 which i didn't think was too bad however he told me my oil pressure was low and my engine was in danger of ceasing up and I really shouldn't risk driving home to Sandbach!
I took a gamble and my friend said "I'll follow you so far" bless... to check I was ok...it was only after we had driven 15mins that I realised I had left my phone at my friends house DOH...so my friend offered to follow me all the way home.
When I eventually did arrive home I picked up ickle man and we went almost straight away to bed...too much haha
Sunday was far more leisurely and calm...later on watched the Chelsea match which was a draw and later on still watched Man U v LFC which we lost in the last minute...my friend brought my phone back and helped me put a mirror up bless.
Later later on I watched the Mummy with ickle man...ooo I did enjoy that film it had humour mixed with a bit of excitement and gore! I must watch the Mummy Returns tonight
Sooooooooo people all in all a different weekend and like I've said before NEVER EVER A DULL MOMENTO!!

The best news of the weekend though was my son PJ's mate Dean Ashton ickle Crewe lad.... only 22 has just been signed up for Premier League team West Ham so we have to say congratulations to him!! Well done!!

Commander said at least he's consistent cos he was still in his blue overalls!! haha

Been to see my parents for tea tonight (we had Salmon yummy)and for my Birthday they have bought me a week at my friend Mark & Avril's pad in May!! Yippee I've just booked the flights so I'm off to warmer places and not too long to wait...Ickle man had loads of homework that was like pulling hens teeth to get him to do, so my mum played the piano to calm him down...I must say some of the words he had to make sentences out of were a bit difficult for 7...disarm,disclose,disorder to name but a few! hmm what concept has a 7year old of any of those words? Except maybe disorder hahaha Oh yes then we had to look around the bathroom estimate the capacity of 6 containers then draw a table and publish a guess against actual and show the difference!

Port de Soller is the place
The appartment is 3 double bedrooms so me and ickle man will be really rattling around..I am impressed that the rooms have views of mountains...looks like we'll have the pool all to ourselves as well hehe..never a dull moment...The price of flights at the end of May Ł400 for two of us....bit expensive!!..Avril & Mark are paying Ł50 for theirs in April...oh and there was 5p in my bed this morning...fortunately not stuck to my bum though!! haha

Yesterday was another beautiful day out. We took advantage by going to the park at around 4. Ickle man rode his bike happily (He is riding like a champ on 2 wheels now!) He even batted his eyes enough to have another ickle girl push him on a swing. He really melts the hearts of everyone he meets, he's a sweety. Just like his brother PJ. We went for a walk following a path to the canal. One elderly woman said, "Your little ones is so precious". I was proud to say that yes, he is with a smile on my face. LOL People crack me up.
We took a break in the middle of our walk to play finger football together on a picnic table. An elderly couple stopped to talk about the weather. I really love this town. People are so slow paced and friendly. The majority are anyway.
Before we went for our walk I was feeling pretty bored. I really wanted a friend to talk with, I guess I feel like a spare part sometimes (we get boring I guess...lol). Most people are there with their families. Mine has been broken apart and I'm a people person I like being with people so when I'm not for weeks on end it get's me down. Various friends want to cheer me up so I let them. I know tons of people. Few are really close but those that are we light up in each others company. We tell jokes, we tell stories, we discuss our lives.
So, after that and our walk we were starving. Mr Waitrose was waiting on the doorstep with this weeks delivery so after unpacking I rustled up some fresh salmon. I then got changed into something comfy and sat in front of the TV doing absolutely nothing! It felt really wonderful I truly am blessed to have 2 great kids that I can really, truly enjoy. I view being a mother as what a blessing it truly is.

My brother is having a 40th Birthday in October at a holiday camp in Bournemouth so all his friends can go from all round the globe! Haha he did talk about fancy dress and a 70's theme but I'm not sure if that's the case still.
Anyway he got me thinking how much I miss him. You spend all your youth growing up with your brother
you'll always be my true brother.
I care for you as a real sister would,
and you know that i'll always love you as best i could.
May our friendship last forever;
May I sail upon your sea.
May we go through life together;
May we always be free.
May I be your endless friend
May we have fun to share.
May you never wonder why
Each time you look for me, I'm there.
I will always be here for you,
even when we are both blue.
I hope i'll always have you,
I hope our feelings for each other always remain true.
I hope, for your sister, there is always a place in your heart,
i pray that we may never grow apart.
I love you as much as your baby sister could,
and i love you as much as a baby sister would.
May we share our special days,
The happiness of one for two;
And if we must go separate ways,
Let my love remain with you!

And she's making me feel
Like I've never been touched before
Ahh-ha
Making me feel
Like I've never been touched before
Ahh-ha
She was flying
She was
She was crying

And I was aching because
She was moving me across
And she's making me feel
Like I've never been touched before
Ahh-ha
Making me feel
Like I've never been touched before

Today I've been with ickle man to Mow Cop and it was soo dark, wild and windy it was cool. This prominent hill-top has been of spiritual and practical significance to man for thousands of years.
And when you go up it you feel that too!! The sense of wilderness, of loneliness, of HEIGHT, is worth any effort to get there. You can see most of Stoke on Trent in one direction and most of Cheshire in the other. Mow Cop gets its name from Moel Cop - a bald hill. A remote mountain spur, it is, in fact, the Southernmost point of the Pennines - the "backbone of England". The castle itself is actually a folly but the hill has great significance as it is the highest point in the area...steeped in history.Anyway the blast of fresh air was great and you always feel ontop of the world when you climb a hill.

A woman of 30 thinks of having children, marriage and money. A man of 30 thinks of what freedom he's gunna lose...when the nagging sets in. Cos lets face it 99.99% of women of 30 wanna own a man..and freedom haha forget it. A woman of 40 thinks of having fun, being happy & enjoying her children. What does a man of 40 think of? Dating children lol until he realises he already has children, money and freedom so why would he wanna start the cycle of losing freedom and money again?

Friday the 13th and the day has started perfectly! John has bought me a howes meat pie...bless.........Commander has made me toast and jam. And I haven't moved...I have wonderful friends! What other excitement is in store today...i fancy something wild and exciting.
Last night I had my parents round for tea and I cooked them cod with scallops, prawns, basil, avocado, cheese, cream, new potatoes and salad...followed by lemon tart...ickle man then sang to us very beautifully standing on the coffee table!! lol
At lunch today I am whizzing to town with Commander to the bank and later I have my Waitrose delivery to look forward to! hehe
By the way it all arrived in perfect condition all packed in bags for fridge, frozen and cupboard!! The delivery man even carries it to the kitchen...hey how fantastic is that! Guess what it seems to be even better quality than what you would choose in the shop! I am loving this new regime....As a result I have just had asparagus plunged into hot water for 1min then wrapping various bundles with bacon sprinkling with olive oil, salt & pepper and putting in oven for few mins...wowwweeeeeeee fantastic!! CHIEF TROUGHER!

I was watching it last night and the question was you had to guess the word that comes before hat
so ____ Hat
Well anyway they made a show out of it that went on for hrs and hrs
There was a list of say 10 possibilities
It is actually brilliantly funny cos the peeps that phone in are sometimes well....
Imagine this the last word the presenter gave out loads and loads of clues so many that he actually spelt the word out on a piece of paper as follows
AMPHIB_OUS
It has to be exactly right he kept saying....it went on for ages....finally he takes a call from a lady and she
says AMPHIBIAN......he says can I check that again with you as it needs to be EXACTLY right.... look at the screen as he points to the card again....
Again she says AMPHIBIAN....again he double checks
Of course she didn't win and I just laffed and laffed I mean what entertainment that show is....
Another one was a tin of beans.....can you guess viewers will it sink or float...Erm DOH!!!!

Well I promised myself this year to be better organised, spend more time with my family, have more time for myself and to help me keep those promises I've signed up for Waitrose groceries to be delivered straight to my door! How fantastic that you can plan what you need and want, all from the comfort of your own home.
So I got out my recipe books and ordered just what I needed and it's all turning up tomorrow...so I'll let you know if it makes a difference to my life! ![]()

Baked cod with avocado, prawns, cream & cheese
Have you got 15mins and hardly any prep time?
Put oven on Gas7. Olive oil baking sheet. Place piece of cod in...season..sprinkle with fresh basil, avocado, prawns, drizzle with double cream. Sprinkle with cheese and slam in the oven for 15mins.
LOVELY JUBBLY!! That was my tea!
Oh and I've just found out how to do perfect eggs. Olive oil a muffin tray, line with ham, crack in the eggs and bang in oven for 5mins on Gas7...perfect every time!!
@ Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 – 20:07:51
Well Jake got me thinking about all the bizarre days that I've had and I decided to tell you another.Well it was Polling day last year...beautiful hot sunny day...had a meeting near Heathrow in the morning and a meeting in North London at 2pm. Mtg in the morning went well left at 1pm in good time for 2nd meeting...only Jess took the wrong route and ended up in Central London yes on Polling day! I realised I had gone wrong when I passed Fulham football club then Arsenal or Chelsea can't remember which...followed by Houses of Parliment, tower of London...at this point....I must add that I was not in my own car...this is very important later on in the story! Anyway what a delight it was driving through London beautiful sunshine, strollers by...bomb scares!
At this point I phone my supplier in North London to help direct me out of the congestion.
I get passed from pillar to post before I get a not English van driver talking to me...saying what do you see what do you see! haha I wanted to say the plane the plane...bit my lip though...Anyway 2hours of that is enough to flatten anyone's mobile telephone and aaaaaaagrahgh no charger cos not in my car. lol
At 5.30 I turned up at my suppliers had a 10minute charge of battery and a chat...then I was back on my way and lost again.
I manage to get hold of a friend who fortunately directed me out of the mayhem.
I then had to phone my Mum and ask her to drop ickle man off at his Dad's cos I was just leaving London.
I then call at the petrol station for sandwiches and to buy a phone charger..no joy on the phone charger.
The M25 and M1 were very busy and I was stuck in traffic for ages stopping at various petrol stations looking for a phone charger...still no joy.
The M6 toll was ahead and it said bad accident on the M6..Just paid my money and the beautiful car I was in broke down...I managed to call the AA before the phone conked out however only to tell her the location.
Waaaaaaaaaaaah I had no coat, it was dark, no phone and it started to rain lol
I climbed over the barrier and had a real good chuckle I mean why ME! haha
I was only half an hour before the lovely AA man arrived and the first thing he did bless was give me his Orange coat...rrr
Anyway he established that it was the fuel pump fairly quickly and said we would have to tow me to the nearest services.
Have you ever been on a tow bar he said..no I said...it's ok...visors down and you just steer no braking ok
Fine...got there uneventfully...still no phone charger...he tinkered about...before saying right just a full tank of petrol and your away.
Ł50 later and no cash left I was off again.
Once on the M6 there had been an accident which meant another hour and 30mins sitting about...when I finally got to the Stoke junction I held my head in my hands as there turned over on the motorway was a lorry with frozen chickens or turkeys all over the road and dozens of firemen with wire shopping trolleys running up and down the carriageway collecting them up it really was comical...NOW THAT's BIZARRE!! But hey made it home for 11.30 ish never a dull momento!
@ Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 – 00:50:14
It went like this...Jess nips out for bin liners, petrol and car wash....simple enough eh haha
Let's leave the match on ickle man (which had just started) we'll only be 2mins...
Jess picks up bin liners, petrol and pays including car wash..has to wait for 3 cars in front to finish car washings...I mean when is it ever that busy lol
hmm when our turn...Jess couldn't find car wash ticket with number on sooo Jess has to drive through the car wash as 2 further cars are behind us....couldn't keep them waiting...
Very nice man gets out and asks if we are going in the carwash or not....Jess finds car wash ticket too late and has to then rejoin queue behind 2 more cars....lol
Jess goes back in shop as needs paper to keep amused and child is now cold and hungry while waiting...so buys sandwiches.... reads all about the latest BB romp scandal...gets in car wash with coat half out door....nice ..gets car washed...and coat washed..lol
.car won't start....aaaaaaaaaaaaaagrah.......man in car behind has to get out and help push along with shop assistant who was very helpful and himself learning to drive lol..jess steers with great difficulty as no power steering.....brings to a halt outside shop...let me check your oil.....says shop assistant.....looks like none in...
Jess buys 5ltr can of oil at Ł20...coat is all wet...and Jess now feeling unglamorous.
..car takes all oil...Jess thinks i'll phone my Dad...forgot mobile phone..with mr AA man's number in..
.shop assistant says you can use ours.....the phone has a very long cable in the shop...he stretches it over while he dials the numbers from much further away...........at this point I thought someone must be doubled over laughing up there in the sky at this comedy sketch unfolding..the shop was very busy
..Shop assistant dials Dad....someone on phone....dials PJ....no answer...dials Dad on phone...dials PJ no
answer...after 6 or 7 goes Jess gives up....at this point two other guys offer to try pushing to see if we can get it going.....backwards and
forwards....backwards and forwards we go.... on the garage forecourt...haha..still no joy....another guy
comes along...with his sandwiches bless..hold these luv haha you'll never get an automatic going by pushing you know...now you tell us...thanks for that wisdom we could have been there all night to and fro lol
More guys turn up and that's when we got lucky.....two
mechanics...hehe...jump lead's to the rescue....by the time got home match was over hahahahaha...and yet again another forecourt video classic lol
Commander has started to wonder if ickle man will remember all of these things when he gets older or if a TV sketch could be made

Life is like a train ride.
We get on. We ride. We get off. We get back on and ride some more. There are accidents and there are delays. At certain stops there are surprises. Some of these will translate into great moments of joy; some will result in profound sorrow. When we are born and we first board the train, we meet people whom we think will be with us for the entire journey. Those people are our parents!
Sadly, this is far from the truth.
Our parents are with us for as long as we absolutely need them. They too have journeys they must complete. We live on with the memories of their love, affection, friendship, guidance and their ever presence.
There are others who board the train and who eventually become very important to us, in turn.
These people are our brothers, sisters, friends and acquaintances, whom we will learn to love, and cherish.
Some people consider their journey like a jaunty tour. They will just go merrily along.
Others will encounter many upsets, tears, losses on their journey.
Others still, will linger on to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.
Some people on the train will leave an everlasting impression when they get off….
Some will get on and get off the train so quickly, they will scarcely leave a sign that they ever travelled along with you or ever crossed your path…
We will sometimes be upset that some passengers, whom we love, will choose to sit in another compartment and leave us to travel on our own.
Then again, there’s nothing that says we can’t seek them out anyway.
Nevertheless, once sought out and found, we may not even be able to sit next to them because that seat will already be taken.
That’s okay …everyone’s journey will be filled with hopes, dreams, challenges, setbacks and goodbyes.
We must strive to make the best of it… no matter what...
We must constantly strive to understand our travel companions and look for the best in everyone.
Remember that at any moment during our journey, any one of our travel companions can have a weak moment and be in need of our help.
We too may vacillate or hesitate, even trip… hopefully we can count on someone being there to be supportive and understanding…
The bigger mystery of our journey is that we don’t know when our last stop will come. Neither do we know when our travel companions will make their last stop. Not even those sitting in the seat next to us.
Personally, I know I’ll be sad to make my final stop…. I’m sure of it! My separation from all those friends and acquaintances I made during the train ride will be painful. Leaving all those I’m close to will be a sad thing. But then again, I’m certain that one day I’ll get to the main station only to meet up with everyone else. They’ll all be carrying their baggage… most of which they didn’t have when they first got on this train.
I’ll be glad to see them again. I’ll also be glad to have contributed to their baggage… and to have enriched their lives, just as much as they will have contributed to my baggage and enriched my life.
We’re all on this train ride together. Above all, we should all try to strive to make the ride as pleasant and memorable as we can, right up until we each make the final stop and leave the train for the last time.
All aboard!
Safe journey!!
BON VOYAGE!

I had to look up what Haggis was all about so here you go....you won't have to now!!
Traditionally, a Haggis is made from the lung, liver, and heart of the sheep. These are mixed with oatmeal and a few spices and stuffed into the sheep's stomach. After being boiled, the Haggis is brought to the table with a great deal of ceremony. A piper ushers in the Haggis and all raise a glass of Scotch whiskey and "brrreath a prrayerr for the soul of Rrrobbie Burrrns!" It is then served with "neeps and nips," mashed turnips and nips of whiskey. I think you have to drink a lot of Scotch before you can truly enjoy this dish, but a party of Scots without a Haggis is simply not heard of.
