When I was ickle I lived in Albrighton, Shropshire. My fascination with aircraft started from a young age when the Goodyear airship used to fly over. It was a lovely sight! I was just thinking...Goodyear airshipalbrightonst petersWe used to live next door to the church and at the bottom of the garden was a huge lake with swans it was a lovely place to grow up...now I live next to another church..no wonder I have a fascination with churches too! Funny moment yesterday, went to Tesco and when I got out of the car felt cold on my left breast where my top had fallen down..ooops thank goodness no one saw that one blushes

I used to see airships pass over to hover overhead nearby Wembley Stadium. Since it was demolished they no longer appear. Hopefully once it's rebuilt they'll reappear.
I have had a lifelong interest in aviation, but not churches!

by the way for some reason, I can't comment on other peoples blogs outside of the uk I quite like man with a bag if it has a purpose!

Hello My UK friend,

You can post comments on blogs outside of the UK...when reading the posts from other blogs outside of the UK simply go up to the right hand corner where is has the Login, click and enter your info there...it's easy to comment once you do this step...

your words paint a very nice picture indeed. though i wouldnt like to live next to a church, it would freak me out at night. waiting for the last bus outside stoke church used to do that to me. yes, airships are indeed very cool, although the last time one was over our house it didnt look very stable at all - sick bags ahoy!

and you really dont want to be exposing yourself on tesco car park, good job you noticed otherwise it would have made for an interesting shopping experience. couldnt have been much of a top you were wearing either ;-)

hmmm, yeah, you are right, they are always very colourful events full of happy smiley faces arent they :-)

i like the idea of having the lake and the swans at the bottom of the garden, did you lose hours just by watching the swans? i know i would have - they are very stately and graceful creatures :-)

no I don't remember them I was too ickle..memories are of airships, man landing on the moon, ladybirds, climbing in my brothers cot, being put in my cot for being naughty,dreams of drummers, power cuts and christmas lights in the bathroom! They are my only memories

i wish id been alive when man walked on the moon. its been a slow backwards motion ever since then with regards to space exploration in my opinion. the shuttle is, and always will be very cool, but you cant beat man setting foot on another world.

my only memories of being very ickle are of having to go to infants on cold, dark, rainy mornings. it never seemed to be sunny in the first year at infants.
