@ Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 – 00:30:22
It's that time of year when we pause, reflect, and take a personal inventory. Where are you with your goals, your relationships, your career? Practicing an attitude of plenty can help you manifest it. If you're wishing for more money, act like you already have it! If you're looking for love, practice loving yourself!

Thinking deeply
@ Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 – 23:43:12
When a girl is quiet ... she is thinking deeply. When a girl stares at you ... she is wondering why you are lying. When a girl lays on your chest ... she is wishing for you to be with her forever. When a girl wants to hear from you everyday... she wants to feel pampered.
Life only comes around once make sure u spend it with the right
person.... Find a guy ... who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who
calls you back when you hang up on him, who will stay awake just to
watch you sleep. Wait for the guy who ... kisses your forehead and your palms. Who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your scruffs. Who holds your hand in front of his friends. Who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you. Who turns to his friends and says, "That's her!! " -
Stars
@ Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 – 10:34:16
Since as long as we have had eyes to see we have lifted them upwards to the stars for assurance and guidance. Winking back at us, the stars signal comfort to us. By their very design they instill wonder in the deepest parts of our hearts, and allow hope to spring forth.

Mad Crazy Woman Part 2
@ Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008 – 11:32:00
Well Friday night had a call from Nikki to meet in her pub for an early chit chat..We sat on a leather couch each and started catching up..a gin and tonic later...a lady in a floral jacket, black trousers and pink Croc shoes turned up..She asked Nikki if she could sit next to her 'cos she was on her own and meeting a man on a blind date..As soon as she sat down I recognised her as Mad Crazy Woman..I mouthed to Nikki that we needed to move somewhere else..Nikki didnt understand so I made an excuse and went to the ladies...I left Nikki fully engaged in conversation with MCW..When I returned MCW had her shoes off..not sure why and was sitting in bare feet..she started telling us how she was meeting this guy and he wanted to meet her in the car park or walking up the drive..she had turned up early so she could watch him arrive and decide if she wanted to make a hasty exit or not..I was meeting the girls at my house to go out so I had an excuse to get away..Nikki came with me and as we walked up her long pub drive I told her all about Texaco and MCW..as we walked a man arrived in a car he slowed down and stared at us as he passed...An awful feeling welled up inside it was Boilersuit man...Mad Crazy Woman was blind dating Boilersuit Man!! OMG

Well Dressing
@ Sunday, Oct. 05, 2008 – 14:33:51

WELL DRESSING...must confess never heard of it until Saturday. The ancient custom known as Well Dressing is peculiar to England, and Derbyshire and Staffordshire in particular.
The blessing of the watersupply, in the form of the well, is an ancient custom which is unique to the Peak District and the surrounding areas such as South Yorkshire and East Staffordshire. The custom had almost died out in the 1950s, but since then it has been revived with great vigour, primarily for the tourist industry.
Some sources attribute the practice to the period of the Black Death in 1348-9, when probably a third of the population of England died of the disease, but some villages such as Tissington were untouched.
Tissington Well. The local people attributed this to their clean water supply and gave thanks by 'dressing' the village wells. However, it seems very likely that the practice goes back much further than this - probably to pagan times - and the fact that many well dressings have a 'well queen' suggests echoes of ancient spring fertility rites. The practice is continued mainly in the limestone villages of the central and southern peak with a succession of different villages dressing their wells between the end of May and early September. Traditionally, Tissington is the earliest in late May, and Eyam is the last of the large festivals at the end of August. Outside the Peak District, places which 'dress' their wells include Chesterfield, Etwall (near Derby), Endon (near Stoke on Trent) and Penistone (South Yorkshire

Lovage
@ Monday, Sep. 29, 2008 – 18:59:38
Now tonight I am in the middle of cooking...but when the recipe said I needed Lovage..I set about Morrisons to find it...nope nobody ever heard of it..so I am cooking it without
;o( I did read that it tasted a bit like celery so I have popped in a couple of sticks for good measure lol
Anyway this is what wikipedia says
Lovage (Levisticum officinale) is a plant, the leaves and seeds or fruit of which are used to flavor food, especially in South European cuisine. It is a tall (3 to 9 ft) perennial that vaguely resembles its cousin celery in appearance and in flavour. Lovage also sometimes gets referred to as smallage, but this is more properly used for celery. The fruit of the lovage plant can be used as a spice, but what appears in the trade as lovage seed is usually ajwain, not lovage. On the other hand, what is sold as 'celery seed' is often partially or entirely ground lovage seed.
The root of lovage, which contains a heavy, volatile oil, is used as a mild aquaretic. Lovage root contains furanocoumarins which can lead to photosensitivity.
Lovage is considered a "magic bullet" companion plant; much as borage helps protect almost all plants from pests, so lovage is thought to improve the health of almost all plants.
In Germany and Holland, one of the common names of Lovage is Maggikraut (German) or Maggiplant (Dutch) because the plant's taste is reminiscent of Maggi soup seasoning. In Romania the common name of Lovage is Leuştean.
Lovage tea can be applied to wounds as an antiseptic, or drunk to stimulate digestion. In the UK, Lovage cordial is traditionally mixed with brandy in the ratio of 2:1 as a winter drink. Lovage is second only to capers in its quercetin content [1].

New Artists Required for Urban Record Launch
@ Saturday, Sep. 27, 2008 – 15:17:18
I am in the process of launching a UK- based Record Label and am looking to liaise with / recruit the best cliche of all - the cream of the crop RnB Singers, Vocal Groups, Rap Artists, etc.
I am looking for people that are self-motivated and really view this as an exciting opportunity to progress their talents and skills that may otherwise not be utilised elsewhere. This is NOT an option for people who expect what I call 'magic waiter-service' - for things to magically appear out of a hat with little or no effort or work on your part, cos I've been there and done that already...
I'm looking for artists, producers, viable distribution networks outside the UK and all other avenues needed to succeed in this competitive industry.
Being the honest guy that I am, I'm not one to blag or pull the wool over your eyes with visions of granduer.I am not going to stand here and promise that I will make you a fortune or turn you into a celebrity overnight. My view is that this is a marathon not a sprint, and good things always come to those that wait...
My aim is to sell as many units as possible - be that digital or physical - in many different territories as I can reach. It's gonna be a long road but I'm here for the long haul. I say it as it is. I see it for what its worth.
I'm looking for music that has a definate crossover urban feel while still keeping within its roots.
Ideally, you will have finished product ready for release. Either that or excellent vocal potential, as I also have a team of UK-based producers on hand also. Songwriters and composers are welcome too.
For me, the product is the key - if you already know that its not good enough lyrically or vocally to cut it in the current marketplace alongside the main competition then is it really worth submitting it to me...? You decide....!
For more info, please feel free to visit my Facebook page, add me as a friend and chat, OR find me on www.myspace.com/wiseassrecords OR send song snippets via email to:
"original_one@hotmail.com"
with basic info about you too.
I look forward to hearing from you all soon.
Thanks in advance

You have a knack for always saying or doing the right thing. I'm lucky that you're so skilled at concentrating on what's good. What would I ever do without you? I only hope I can be half as good a friend to you. It's people like you who make a difference in this world! Much love, -

Don't buy a sim free phone from Phones 4 u with cash as when it goes wrong after two days of use they won't give you a refund. Apparently it's all to do with having a disclaimer in the shop! Even though it is not to be seen anywhere. The real reason is because they don't make any money out of sim free phones? So now i have a broken phone

Sandbach has plenty to Shout about with First Ever Festival Princess
@ Tuesday, Apr. 15, 2008 – 07:05:20
Sandbach has plenty to Shout about with First Ever Festival Princess
The Sandbach Transport Festival Committee are pleased to announce the selection of our Festival Princess 2008.
Kirstie Orr 18 was chosen by a selection committee on Saturday at the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Sandbach, from a number of late entrants to the competition following articles in the press.
Kirstie a Sandbach girl all her life loves Sandbach and is excitedly looking forward to her reign as Princess and representing the town at the Transport Festival and other functions.
Kirstie is an extremely confident young lady who has recently been awarded a Senior Community Award for her fundraising, she has raised £2500 for a rare condition called F O P, a disease that sees muscles turning to bone, eventually the sufferer has two skeletons.
Kirstie attended Sandbach High School, is a member of the Crewe Matrix Cheer Squad (who are National Champions), taught Judo to younger children and is an active member of the community. Kirstie is currently studying for her BTEC in Health and Social Care at South Cheshire College in Crewe.
Part of Kirstie’s prize is sponsored by Wedding Bliss, One Stop Wedding Shop, Old Church Hall, Vicarage Lane, Elworth who are providing loan of the very beautiful Princess Dress, satin wrap, Princess Tiara, pearl necklace and shoes. They are also providing a 1930’s vintage style long bodied Beauford Open Tourer with open top for Kirstie to head the Carnival Parade with TV celebrity Claire Sweeney on the Saturday. On the Sunday Kirstie will also head the Sandbach Transport Festival parade in the Beauford Open Tourer with the Sandbach Festival of Transport Committee Chairman Graham Alcock. Graham said “We must make Special thanks to Jean & Ron Sproson from Wedding Bliss for making our Festival Princess Kirstie feel extremely special”.
Lucky Kirstie is also having pampering nail, hair and tan sessions this week kindly donated by Debbie from HBW Hair & Beauty Works, 5 Welles Street, Sandbach. Owner Debbie said “It’s a pleasure to give something back to our town of Sandbach and get involved in the Community”. HWB are unusual as they offer Ladies and Gents hair and beauty services including on the long list back waxes for the guys! Ouch!
Kirstie begins a fantastic year by being crowned by television celebrity Claire Sweeney on Saturday 19th at 12.30pm in the main arena (large Common), who will both then lead the Carnival Procession from Grangeway Elworth into Town. Claire Sweeney is currently starring at the Regent Theatre in Stoke on Trent in the Stage musical Shout. Many thanks to Sue at The Flower Shop, Sandbach for donating the bouquet to be presented to Claire Sweeney on Saturday. Other exciting appearance dates for Kirstie’s diary are The Caudwell Children’s Winter Wonderland Charity Christmas Ball and Crewe Carnival. This year Sandbach Transport Festival is helping raise funds for Caudwell Children’s Charity and is closely linked with the Charity.

@ Thursday, Apr. 03, 2008 – 21:49:19
For many reasons I think the Italian press is quite refreshing as you are presented with the evidence as their investigation goes along. However when specific video evidence that is obviously from a police file leaks out it is very upsetting. I have been following this case since day one as unlike the U.K they take a long time to charge anyone. The video clip you can find on the internet must be very upsetting to her family and I can understand that they may take it further.

Tracey's Birthday and M6 Chaos as Closed!!
@ Thursday, Mar. 13, 2008 – 21:51:20
Friday night we went to Hanley for Tracey's Birthday which was cool.

Yesterday took some customers to Leyland Trucks to watch their DAF's being made. We had a very long journey as the M6 was closed...I had to take the pictures of the M6 empty as it's a very rare sight! We had to pay a 12p toll for the honour of crossing over the ship canal by another route lol. We also hired a LDV 17 seater minibus from Afford which we had sold to them!! Guess I found out first hand how comfortable it was!! lol We had a very nice welcome at Leyland trucks in the board room..the place gets more polished at factory tours every time I go. Sandbach Transport Festival Extravaganza
@ Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 – 22:41:40
Two days of Festival. This year we are delighted to be linked with Caudwell Children Charity. The traditional transport parade will be as usual on the Sunday. This year we are celebrating 75years of ERF...which of course all began in Sandbach. This year ERF/MAN have decided to drop the ERF name so the 75th year will be the last year! So it will be a fond farewell. Also planned for the Sunday is the town criers competition, the hog roast, garden festival in the park, market stalls, charity stalls, craft stalls, fair rides, hovercraft rides, park and ride on a london bus, live music, fire station open day, climbing wall, sit on train ride in the park, activities for the children.
On the Saturday we have a celebration of the Sandbach town with a Carnival day planned. The day begins with a Truck Pull Competition on the market square which will be partitioned off. The square will be the focus for an arena of events.. a staged RTA with cars and a HGV thrown on their side with all the Emergency Services participating. Hovercraft displays, football displays, firestation cadet displays, marching bands, dance troupes, crowning of the Festival Princess, circus workshops. A carnival procession of floats from local groups, businesses, schools and organisations will then walk/drive into the town and surround the market square. While all this is going on we have the Art Exhibition in the Masonic Hall, the firestation open day, bowling competition, market stalls, craft stalls, charity stalls, live music, the garden festival in the park with the large marquee, kids funfair, hog roast..both days although different themes are a great day out for all the family!
The whole event kicks off on the Friday night with the world famous Foden Brass Band at the Sandbach Boys School...I struggled to fit it all this flyer

Rode Hall Snowdrop Walk
@ Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 – 11:58:09
Well I have been soo busy and have done lots and lots of nice things recently which is why not had much time to post. Rode Hall is just down the road from my house and I didnt know it existed. lol Went out with Nikki and Katie and ickle man yesterday, initially to Crewe Park, but it was all closed as they have drained and fenced off the lake so we then went for a snowdrop walk at Rode Hall. Rode Hall was very nice indeed the snowdrops really were lovely, had an unusual boat house which looked like Telly Tubby land and an Obelisk..a humour gravestone of the pet cat and a very friendly Robin! Later we went to Cassa Vechia in Sandbach which is a very lovely Italian Restaurant and even better between 5.30 and 6.30 all Pizza's and Pasta's are half price. After thoroughly troughing out took a picture of the Sandbach Crosses..pics

Change
@ Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 – 07:59:07
Things move so fast! So many things have come and gone police boxes, telephone boxes are good examples of things which were around when I was a child. I was looking at a photo on the wall of a local pub. The place it shows is an aerial view of the area less than 50 years ago. In that time buildings have been knocked down replaced with offices knocked down and now houses are built there. It's quite scary to think that has all happened in less than 50 years

Do you have a vision in mind of how you want your life to be
@ Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008 – 23:59:14
Do you have a vision in mind of how you want your life to be, as well as a clear plan on how to get there? It is surprising how many times people ask this question, only to discover that they are simply wandering along just letting life happen, all the while wishing that dreams would come true.
Why should we sit back, waiting for life to happen as it will, when we have the power to set our own goals and the energy and desire to make our dreams a reality? Setting goals puts you squarely in charge of your own life, and that is a very desirable situation. That is why I have decided to share a few simple tricks I have found helpful in making goal setting even easier and more successful.
The physical act of writing a goal on paper helps to anchor it in your mind, so write your goals down every day, and make certain that you keep your goal centered on you and not someone else.
Be sure to state your goal in positive terms, as positive statements draw positive things your way. For example, "I am always on time" is preferable to "I am never late."
Our subconscious only understands present time. So, if you create goals that are set in the future, your subconscious will keep those goals in the future. For this reason, it is best to always write your goals as if they were already happening or had already happened.
State your goals clearly and precisely so that the Universe and your subconscious know exactly what YOU want. Using strong words that evoke emotion and command action helps to call forth the energy needed to move forward.
And, most importantly, when you write down your goals, imagine yourself already being, doing, or having the things that you are dreaming about. This will further activate and imprint your goals on your subconscious.
I hope that you make your dreams a reality. I feel confident that you can achieve the goals you set for yourself. I just hope that you feel it as well! -

Celebrity Hijack Big Brother
@ Saturday, Jan. 05, 2008 – 12:01:39
Well I can't help but mention the hilarious start to Hijack Celebrity Big Brother housemate John Loughton was forced to complete a bizarre set of tasks on greeting the new housemates, that certainly had me cringing in the chair. You have to take your Tartan hat off to the guy he actually made me cry with laughter, he carried out all of comedian Matt Lucas's instructions, which were fed through an earpiece in pure comical fashion!
The Scottish Youth Parliament chairman and former Young Edinburgh Award winner who looks like he could throw a few cabers..must surely be now favourite to win as he certainly threew himself into the Scottish spirit of things!
My next few weeks viewing are now planned hehe

The New Year
@ Tuesday, Jan. 01, 2008 – 17:09:19

The New Year is a good opportunity for us to think about our personal outlook on life. So, do you consider yourself an optimist, or a pessimist? Research shows that optimists are generally healthier and happier. Now, if you said a pessimist, those are two good reasons why you should think about changing your outlook. But sometimes you may not even be aware of being pessimistic. Well, to find out, try the three "Ps" test. Describe a problem you currently have or had in the past. If you describe it from a personal viewpoint ("It was all my fault," "These things always happen to me"), as permanent ("Things will never get better," "I'm through"), and pervasive ("Everything I do is wrong"), then, yes, it sounds like you could very well be a pessimist!
If this is the case, don't despair. The problem with pessimism is that it can turn even a potentially good situation into a bad one. A lot of times we can deliberately downplay any possible positive aspects of a situation in order not to "get our hopes up" or to feel less pressured. So then we're less likely to feel badly if things go wrong or don't turn out. But once you get into the habit of thinking like that, it becomes ingrained. And before you know it, you've become a pessimist.
So the thing to do, is to catch yourself in the act, so to speak. Pay attention to the way you "talk" to yourself, how you react to situations. You'll soon become aware of when you start to think negatively or if you react using one of the three "Ps". And if you do catch yourself doing so, just label it – "well, that was a negative thought" – and let it go out of your mind.
Switching from a pessimistic to an optimistic viewpoint doesn't happen overnight, but it is possible for us the break such habits and the benefits are well worth the effort. Just remember, if you can change your mind, you can change your life! I'd say that is a worthy goal for the New Year. Happy 2008!
