Sandbach Transport Festival Extravaganza
Two days of Festival. This year we are delighted to be linked with Caudwell Children Charity. The traditional transport parade will be as usual on the Sunday. This year we are celebrating 75years of ERF...which of course all began in Sandbach. This year ERF/MAN have decided to drop the ERF name so the 75th year will be the last year! So it will be a fond farewell. Also planned for the Sunday is the town criers competition, the hog roast, garden festival in the park, market stalls, charity stalls, craft stalls, fair rides, hovercraft rides, park and ride on a london bus, live music, fire station open day, climbing wall, sit on train ride in the park, activities for the children.
On the Saturday we have a celebration of the Sandbach town with a Carnival day planned. The day begins with a Truck Pull Competition on the market square which will be partitioned off. The square will be the focus for an arena of events.. a staged RTA with cars and a HGV thrown on their side with all the Emergency Services participating. Hovercraft displays, football displays, firestation cadet displays, marching bands, dance troupes, crowning of the Festival Princess, circus workshops. A carnival procession of floats from local groups, businesses, schools and organisations will then walk/drive into the town and surround the market square. While all this is going on we have the Art Exhibition in the Masonic Hall, the firestation open day, bowling competition, market stalls, craft stalls, charity stalls, live music, the garden festival in the park with the large marquee, kids funfair, hog roast..both days although different themes are a great day out for all the family!
The whole event kicks off on the Friday night with the world famous Foden Brass Band at the Sandbach Boys School...I struggled to fit it all this flyer

Rode Hall Snowdrop Walk
Well I have been soo busy and have done lots and lots of nice things recently which is why not had much time to post. Rode Hall is just down the road from my house and I didnt know it existed. lol Went out with Nikki and Katie and ickle man yesterday, initially to Crewe Park, but it was all closed as they have drained and fenced off the lake so we then went for a snowdrop walk at Rode Hall. Rode Hall was very nice indeed the snowdrops really were lovely, had an unusual boat house which looked like Telly Tubby land and an Obelisk..a humour gravestone of the pet cat and a very friendly Robin! Later we went to Cassa Vechia in Sandbach which is a very lovely Italian Restaurant and even better between 5.30 and 6.30 all Pizza's and Pasta's are half price. After thoroughly troughing out took a picture of the Sandbach Crosses..pics
